PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic EL(electroluminescence) display device which can be easily made thin and which can display a bright large screen. SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with an EL device 11 having a transparent electrode 14 made from a transparent electrode material such as ITO and SnO2 on the surface of a transparent substrate 10, a light-emitting layer 16 consisting of an organic El material laminated on the transparent electrode 14, and a back electrode 18 laminated on the light-emitting layer 16 and facing the transparent electrode 14. A transparent or semitransparent display panel 12 on which a specified display content is formed is laminated on the outside of the EL device 11.
