PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten the load of changing of received information and reduce the variation in a control result at an information receiving terminal side by a method wherein a transmitted rule is received and stored while a corresponding rule is selected from a plurality of kinds of stored rules. SOLUTION: The content of a text type transmission is received in a data receiving side in a data receiving means 103. The received content is converted into the rule in a rule converting means 104. One rule is selected from the converted rules and is inputted into a rule memory means 105 to store the same. When a control object device is controlled by the control means 106, the objective control device is controlled while referring the rule stored in the rule memory means 105. In this case, the part of IF is read out of a plurality of kinds of cooking methods (corresponding to the rule) stored in the rule memory means 105 by the control means 106 to search only the cooking method, corresponding to a 800 W microwave oven, for example.
