The film reel, comprising a hub (11) with a slit (34) for the film end and two flanges (12, 13), has the hub made from two coaxial rings (30, 31) connected by radial partitions (32) forming cavities (35) with end lugs. The film end is locked inside the hub cavity by projecting legs (20) on one flange which pass through the hub cavities and engage by means of end feet (22) with holes in the opposite flange. The reel's components can be made by injection moulding or other means.
