PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device for an optical fiber cord, a device that improves workability in attaching an adaptor and an adaptor holder and that reduces the width of the adaptor holder. SOLUTION: The adaptor 2 of this connecting device is constituted of the body 5 that has joints 4, 4 for joining a connector at both ends in the front and the rear and planar projections 6, 6 that have a screw inserting hole 8 for inserting a screw 7 on the upper and lower side faces around the center of the body 5. The adaptor holder 3 is constituted of a planar base piece 9 and a planar vertical piece 10 vertically provided on the end in the width direction of the base piece 9; in the front in the width direction of the vertical piece 10, an opening 11 is provided capable of inserting plural pieces of the adaptors 2 all together; along the opening 11 vertically, slots 12, 12 are made at the position corresponding to the screw inserting holes 8, 8; one end of the body 5 of the adaptor 2 is inserted into the opening 11; and screws 7, 7 are inserted into the holes 8, 8 and the slots 12, 12 and fastened by the tightening with nuts 13.
