PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a variable intermediate voltage generating device which is adaptive to a wide focus range by one kind of ceramic substrate, even when a transistor having relatively low dielectric strength is used. SOLUTION: A variable resistance 2 is connected between the high-voltage terminal of an FBT and a ground and between a 1st resistor 1 and a 2nd registor 3, the collector of a transistor 5 is connected to the connection point between the 2nd resistor 3 and a 3rd resistor 4, and the uninverted input terminal of an OP amplifier 7 is connected to the connection point between the 3rd resistor 4 and a 4th resistor 5, and the one end of the 4th resistor 5 and the emitter of the transistor 5 are grounded, and the output of the OP amplifier 7 is connected to the base of the transistor 5.
