PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a player to freely move a pick, the hands and the fingers and to make playing without minding knobs for regulating sound volume and tones by disposing a manipulation detector of an approximately plane shape at a guitar body and providing the front surface with touch electrodes. SOLUTION: The manipulation detector 2 for detecting the movements of the fingers is disposed in a position nearly flush with the guitar body 1. A CPU substrate 4, a battery 10, a jack 9, a mode selector switch 11 and a selector 15 are mounted within the guitar body 1. Pickups 5, 6 and 7 are connected to the selector 15 and the electric signals of which pickups are to be used is selected. The electric signals of the selected pickups are connected to the CPU substrate 4. The manipulation detector 2 is also connected to the CPU substrate 4. In the CPU substrate 4, the inputted electric signals of strings 3 are computed by the X and Y directional position numerical values as well as X directional change rate numerical value and Y directional change rate numerical value of the fingers inputted from the manipulation detector 2 and the addition of the various values of the sound volumes, the high or low tones and effect tones is executed. |
