PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera by which an image is printed at high speed in the case of direct printing. SOLUTION: Gradation data in the row direction of a certain color in image data includes a sequence '140, 32, 45, 208,...'. When it is magnified by two and half times in accordance with a printing size, an extension table where the sequence '2, 3, 2, 3,...' is recorded corresponding to the coordinates of image data is used, a repetition number is added to gradation data of each pixel in image data corresponding to the coordinates and extension data '140, 2, 32, 3, 45, 2, 208, 3,...' are generated and stored in a RAM. Then a processing is executed at high speed with a reduced RAM capacity to be used compared with a case where the number of gradation data of each pixel in image data is increased for the portion of magnifying power.
