PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database generating device and display device which are suitable for maintenance and management relating to architecture and civil engineering, specially, the maintenance and management of a very long thin bridge, a road, a slop face, a pipeline, a water pipe, a tunnel, etc. SOLUTION: The devices are equipped with a video camera 1 which continuously photographs an image of a subject while moving along the length of the subject, a position measurement part which outputs information regarding the photography position, a video recorder 5 which records the output of the video camera 1 in synchronism, with the position information outputted from the position measurement part, an image composition part which puts reproduced images together into one image while referring to the position information when the information recorded by the video recorder 5 is reproduced, and a storage device which stores the composite image. An image database which is thus generated is placed on an Internet server and displayed by using a browser. |
