摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery and a portable information apparatus, excellent in safety and in long-term reliability. SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using rechargeable positive and negative electrodes and a nonaqueous electrolyte, an organic compound is added thereto ranging from 0.1 to 20 wt.% relative to the sum of an electrolyte additive and a nonaqueous solvent to form the battery and a charge control system. The organic compound has HOMO energy(highest occupied molecular orbital energy) of -8.5 to -11.0 eV and LUMO energy(lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy) of -0.135 to 3.5 eV calculated by using a semi-experiential molecular orbital calculating method using the PM3 method for the Hamiltonian.
