PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for correcting an original head related transfer function(HRTF) for a head with a standard size according to a head side or a head shape. SOLUTION: The head related transfer function(HRTF) includes a close ear and remote ear response function and an inter-ear time delay(ITD) and a corrected HRTF can be obtained by any of a step a) where a constant given scaling factor independently of a frequency is multiplied with the ITD value of the HRTF, a step b) where a constant scaling factor within a frequency domain independently of the time delay is multiplied with a close ear/remote ear response function of the HRTF to extend or compress the function within the frequency domain, a step c) where the close ear/remote ear response function of the HRTF with a positive or negative offset in the frequency domain is provided and a step d) where a prescribed given gain factor is multiplied with the amplitude according to the original HRTF or the close ear/remote ear response function of the HRTF of the original HRTF. |
