PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically realize an optical cross connector with excellent extension performance with respect to a change (especially increase) in the number of contained wavelengths per one input port. SOLUTION: The optical cross connector is provided with an optical input switch section 3 that collects optical signals from input ports 1-i (I=1-k, k is an integer being 2 or over) for each same input wavelength λj (j=1-n, n is an integer being 2 or over) for routing, an optical output switch section 5 that routes a plurality of input optical signals to a desired out put port 2-i for each same output wavelength λj, an optical multiple distribution section 4 that applies wavelength multiplex to the optical signal with each wavelength λj after the output path switching by the optical input switch section 3, and distributes and out puts the obtained multiplexed optical signal as a plurality of the input optical signals to the optical output switch section 5, and an optical wavelength selection section 6 that selects an optical signal with a desired wavelength λj among the multiplexed optical signals. |
