The device for producing fuel gas from carbonaceous feedstock comprises a pressurized fluidized bed gasification chamber (10) with a pressure-tight lock (2) for introducing the materials to be gasified; a filter chamber (17) connected to the gasification chamber via a connecting channel (16); an external heat source (4); and a heat conducting tube system (22) which receives the heat from the external heat source and releases it in the gasification chamber on the gasification bed. Preferred Features: The external heat source is a fluidized bed combustion chamber and has a waste gas line (24). The combustion chamber is connected to the filter chamber via a solids flow channel (19) directed upwards to the filter chamber. The solids flow channel has a lower end section (19a) and an upper end section (19b) which are connected to the combustion chamber. A siphon is arranged on the lower end section.
