Preparation of bisphenol alkoxylates comprises reacting bisphenol(s) with an alkylene oxide in the presence of a phosphine catalyst free from alkali metal hydroxide. An Independent claim is also included for the use of specified triaryl-phosphine catalysts in the preparation of bisphenol alkoxylates.
