The power producing machine consists of a pontoon on the water surface, following the crests and troughs of the waves, with a connecting rod (3) on it. There is an energy creating unit (4) on the lower end of the rod. This consists of one or more bladed wheels (8). The blades are rotated about an axis (12), which also serves as the rotation axis of a generator (13, 14) on or in the connecting rod.
