<p>A valve gating arrangement (5a) for an injection molding system having an insulated runner (56) and a heated torpedo (52) across from a gate (60). The valve gating arrangement (50) includes a valve member (70) slidably received within a passage extending through the torpedo (52). The valve member (70) terminates at one end with a pin (74) reciprocally movable into and out of the gate. An actuator (80) is connected to the valve member (70) to effect the reciprocal movement.</p> |
