The invention concerns brush bristle designed for brushes or paint brushes, made by cutting an extruded monofilament yarn at the desired length, and tapered into a pointed tip at its useful end. Said brush bristle is characterised in that it consists of at least two co-extruded plastic components and it has a stem made of soft and elastic plastic material and a core made of a plastic material harder than the material of the stem, the co re projecting with the stem at the useful end to form the pointed tip. Said hai r brush may also comprise a rigidifying sleeve sheathing the stem. The inventi on also concerns a method for making such brush bristles. |
