The inventive bearing system consists of a bearing seat (21), a roller bearing (18), and a squeezing element (26). The squeezing element lies flatly on the outer ring of the roller bearing and only in areas on corresponding areas of the bearing seat. The areas are preferably linear or strip-shaped and are oriented in an essentially axial manner. This facilitates the insertion and removal of the roller bearing (18) into or out of the bearing seat (21) and prevents the outer ring of the bearing from being rotated along, also in the case of bearing seats that are provided with relatively generous tolerances.
