Remotely controlled braking system for roller blades

The braking system built into roller blade skates has individual brake pad elements (1) assigned to each roller . Each brake pad is in the form of a flexible element that follows the shape of the roller. The ends are secured to a common cable e.g. Bowden cable, (2) that terminates in a hand held unit . This allows a uniform braking action to be applied to all rollers.
