In order to encase large, endless pipelines (100) that have been laid in a horizontal or oblique gallery (102) with backfill concrete in a cavity-free manner, prerequisites are created during the laying of the pipeline conduit, so that backfill concrete can be introduced through the apex of the pipe into the surrounding cavity. At a subsequent point in time, the cavity is filled layer by layer. Once the last fill layer has hardened, the remaining area at the top of the gallery is evacuated and filled in sections by compression. The separation of the pipeline laying process and the pipeline embedding process into independent work cycles guarantees an uninterrupted working operation of a high quality, with economic production costs.
