<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately issue a collision alarm that prevents the collision with a preceding vehicle or a target by receiving various data from both vehicles, estimating the lane position of the preceding vehicle according to the various data together with detected information obtained by means of a millimeter wave radar and transmitting an alarm or control command information to the vehicle sides. SOLUTION: This system issues collision alarm in such a manner that a self-vehicle 2 sends a millimeter wave radar signal from an antenna unit 4 toward the preceding vehicle 3. The unit 4 of a millimeter wave radar measures vehicular interval distance, relative speed and angle measurement 5 against the preceding vehicle 3. Also, angular velocity measurement 8 is performed by a gyroscope sensor 6, and steering angle measurement 9 is performed by a steering sensor 7. A lane decision is performed on the basis of an angular velocity and a steering angle. The preceding vehicle decision 11 and static object decision 12 in front of the self-vehicle are performed according to the measured vehicular interval distance, relative speed, angle and lane decision. Alarm decision is performed by using alarm decision algorithm 13, a vehicle speed signal and a brake signal 26 on the basis of these decisions to display an alarm sound, etc.</p> |
