<p>A rotatably mounted applicator assembly (10) comprising of: (a) a liquid applicator (14) with a preferably cylindrical surface, one end (40) being free for dabbing liquid; (b) a spacer (30) at the other end of the cylindrical surface, extending past the surface; (c) an elongate stem (12) of sufficient length to enable an upright user to hold the applicator assembly (10) at the end opposite the liquid applicator (14) and ground it at the liquid applicator (14) end; (d) a guard extending over and proximate to the cylindrical surface; (e) a funnel (16) at the end opposite the liquid applicator (14) to assist with pouring liquid into the stem (12); (f) an auxiliary roller (25) formed by coring out the centre of the liquid applicator (14) during its manufacture, the auxiliary roller (25) supplying liquid to the liquid applicator (14). An air valve (112) made of resilient and pliable thermoplastic rubber (a) with an air path (114) extending through the valve (112) and (b) two spaced apart opposed surfaces (116) inclined towards each other and meeting to lie flat against each other for a distance along the path (114).</p> |
