An automated laboratory management system is provided. This system is particularly suited to management of high-throughput screening experimentation. The system provides for design of experiments, review of experimental design, and data analysis, storage, retrieval, and editing. Graphical aids are provided for efficient association of experimental material sources with destination material carriers and for association of experimental procedures with the experimental materials. The system includes a method for locating periodic image data in a noisy image, in part through determining the placement of a grid on an image. |
