A so-called cascade lighting unit has multiple shade/reflector elements (113,7,8) mounted around a common axis (2). Located on the axis, within a socket (5), a compact fluorescent lighting tube (4) is installed. The bottom shade is of high reflecting aluminium with the internal lighting limited to a set angle (alpha G). The other surface reflects on to the inner surface of the second shade (3) and a double reflection occurs, producing an angled output (I,I2). The upper two elements (7,8) provide a secondary shading function. ADVANTAGE - Accurate shielding of light output from lamp. |
