An extractor (10) removes cork from the inside of a main body of a narrow ne ck bottle. In one version, the extractor comprises a handle (12), and at least two generally oval wire loops (14a, 14b) depending from the handle, the wire loops being deformable so they can fit through the neck and expand and captu re a cork. Optionally, mesh (74) is provided with the loops for extracting cork fragments. In another version, the extractor comprises a housing (102) with a chamber therein, and a flexible elongated leg (106) retractable into the housing. The leg has mesh (108) secured to it for capturing cork pieces.</SD OAB>
