摘要 <p>An inlet compartment for the liquid to be clarified is placed between the intermediate vessel (2) and the central vessel (1) and this feeds the external vessel (4) with material carrying suspended particles. This compartment is fed with liquid from outside through a number of inlets (3) Clarifier for liquids carrying suspended material by flotation and filtration with a filter that can be cleaned by back-washing. The clarifier comprises a first external cylindrical vessel (4) containing a number of compartments in the form of sectors, each with a horizontal or base separation (13) defining with the base (11) of the vessel a receiver (60) for the filtered liquid and with the horizontal separation supporting a filter medium (14) and means (15) of transferring liquid after filtration to the receiver. A second central cylindrical vessel (1) collects the filtered liquid and is coaxial with the first. An intermediate vessel (2) between the first and second vessels is coaxial with them. There are means (5) of recovering and collecting the floating material and means (19) of supplying the filter with back-flow under pressure. A hood (26) recovers the washing liquid after it has passed through the filter and a turnable bridge (8) can be moved in rotation above the vessels, from which are suspended at different points the means of collecting the floating material, the hood and the means of supplying backwashing liquid under pressure. The feed compartment supplies the external vessel around its whole circumference, or is the intermediate vessel, with liquid being transferred into the external vessel by overflowing the wall of the intermediate vessel. The turning bridge also carries means of connecting and disconnecting the means of backwashing under pressure to collectors (16) from the receivers. The hood includes means of ensuring that the level of each sector compartment is sealed to isolate it from the rest of the compartments during back-washing and the liquid from back-washing is fed to the inlet compartment. The hood has an inflatable pneumatic joint to form this seal and the walls of the sectors have a bearing surface to receive the hood joint. The central vessel has an automatic valve (17) to control the level of liquid held in it as a function of the pressure drop across the filters. The means of supplying the backwashing liquid under pressure include a pump (19) immersed in the central vessel and articulated about the axis of the turning bridge. Couplings provides a sealed connection between the pump and the collectors. The couplings can be operated by pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical or electromagnetic means.</p>
