Purification process of auxiliary filtering agent

In the present invention there is disclosed a purification process of an auxiliary filtering agent consisting particularly of diatomaceous earth of containing diatomaceous earth that was enriched during separation process, particularly during a filtration process at least with organic fractions. The process is characterized in that the auxiliary filtering agent is purified in aqueous dispersion by making use of one or several enzymes, whereby such enzymes are added that convert organic components to low-molecular components. Subsequently the auxiliary filtering agent is separated from water and the low-molecular components and in the next purification stage it is purified by addition of lye at concentration lower than 1 percent by weight, preferably 0.3 to 0.5 percent by weight.
