The cap fits around vertical pipes which carry a heating medium, e.g. water, to and from an underfloor heating element. The front and rear parts of the cap have semicircular recesses which fit around the 30 mm diameter pipes, which are 35 to 50 mm apart from each other. Each part has protrusions which mate with apertures on the other part to hold the cap together.
