<p>A reflection-type liquid crystal display device in which a first substrate (11) and a second substrate (13) composed of insulating substrates are opposed to each other with a liquid crystal layer (21) therebetween, first electrodes (15) are provided on the liquid crystal layer (21) side of the first substrate (11) and color filter layers (33) and second electrodes (18) are provided on the liquid crystal layer (21) side of the second substrate (13) respectively, and metal reflection films (19) are provided between the second substrate (13) and the color filter layers (33), wherein the metal reflection films (19) are arranged to provide gaps between adjacent pixels, a conductive light absorbing layer (23) electrically connected with each of the metal reflection films (19) is provided on the entire face of the metal reflection film (19) side of the second substrate (13), and anodic oxide films (25) are provided between the metal reflection films (19) and the color filter layers (33). Thereby, the light absorbing layer (23) in the gap portions between the adjacent metal reflection films (19) functions as a black matrix and the anodic oxide films (25) prevent corrosion and removal of the metal reflection films (19). <IMAGE></p> |
