In the present invention there is disclosed a tube for producing a stabilizer for motor vehicles, particularly for anti-roll bar, made of alloy steel that consists of 0.12 to 0.25 percent by weight carbon (C), 0.10 to 0.40 percent by weight silicon (Si), 1.30 to 2.00 percent by weight manganese (Mn), at the most 0.025 percent by weight phosphorus (P), at the most 0.025 percent by weight sulfur (S), 1.60 to 2.50 percent by weight chromium (Cr), 0.40 to 1.00 percent by weight molybdenum (Mo), 0.010 to 0.050 percent by weight aluminium /Al), and the balance being iron including impurities conditioned by melting. The manufacture of such stabilizer of drawn or welded tube according to the present invention comprises the tube soft annealing, forming and air hardening being particularly carried out in a tool.
