The invented separating device for spinning station of a spinning machine for spindleless spinning has a cover (7), a separating roller (11) with a driving disk (2), a driving belt (6) a tightening pulley (3) having a first position (I) for transferring tightening force to the driving belt (6), a tightening pulley (3) carrier (31), a tightening element (32) loading the tightening pulley (3) and a mechanism for braking the separating roller (11). Said separating roller (11) braking mechanism contains a movable control element (5) as well as a movable braking pin (41), whereby the control element (5) is coupled with the braking pin (41) so that movement of the control element (5, 51) is transferred to the braking pin (41). The control element (5) and the braking pin (41) have a first position (A) in which the braking pin (41) is situated at a certain distance from the driving belt (6) and a second position (B) in which the braking pin (41) engages with the driving belt (6) and the driving belt (6) is lifted from the driving disk (2). The tightening pulley (3) has a second position (II) in which it also transfers tightening force to the driving belt (6).
