The proposed channel (1) for discharge and treatment of melted glass contains a trough and a superstructure (5) and is intended for transportation of melted glass from a melting and refining chamber (6) being charged with vitrifiable materials to a melted glass forming zone for the purpose of bringing it from its melting temperature down to forming temperature thereof. The channel comprises several zones (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14) following subsequently each other and disposed substantially transversely to its longitudinal axis. Each zone has its own function, is independently temperature-controlled and is isolated on a portion of its height with respect to adjacent zones by separating means (15). The zones are represented by at least one transient zone (8), at least one discharge zone (9), at least one cooling zone (10, 11, 12) and at least one zone (13, 14) of thermal and/or chemical homogenization.
