<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for treating waste air upon regenerating a desulfurized liquid of a coke oven gas which can remove both aromatic hydrocarbons and ammonia in waste air and simultaneously inhibit generation of NOX by simple equipment and coke oven gas desulfurization equipment. SOLUTION: A process for treating waste air upon regenerating a desulfurized liquid of a coke oven gas comprises burning waste air containing aromatic hydrocarbons and ammonia which is discharged upon contacting a desulfurized liquid of a coke oven gas with air to regenerate it and then, adding a reducing agent to the resulting combustion gas. Equipment for desulfurizing a coke oven gas has a desulfurizing tower 1 for a coke oven gas, a regeneration tower 2, and an apparatus 4 for treating waste air to be discharged from the regeneration tower 2 for contacting a desulfurized liquid with air to regenerate it, and the apparatus for treating waste air having a combustion chamber 20, a waste air introduction opening 21 for introducing the waste air into the combustion chamber 20, and a reducing agent introduction opening 22 for introducing a reducing agent into a combustion gas flow conduit run 23 downstream of the combustion gas flow direction relative to the waste air introduction opening 21.</p> |
