PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take most of the excavated sediment into a sediment storage chamber by forming the end face of an excavating blade faced to the rotating direction of a rotary cutter into a slope having a prescribed size of side rake angle against the normal line of the gallery peripheral face. SOLUTION: The end face 71a of an excavating blade 71 faced to the rotating direction (the left face of an outer periphery excavating tip 71c) has a side rake angleθagainst the normal line (t) of the gallery peripheral face (s), and the outer face of the outer face protecting tip 71e has a side clearance angleϕagainst the gallery peripheral face (s). Since the end face 71a is inclined against the normal line (t) of the gallery peripheral face (s), most of the sediment excavated by a working face excavating tip 71d can be raked into a rotary shaft 3 side as shown by an arrow B, and the sediment is rarely moved to an arrow A side. The abnormal abrasion of a shield machine body and the blocking of a cutter caused by the consolidated state of sediment on the gallery peripheral face (s) can be prevented. |
