PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject terpolymer whose mol.wt. is scarcely lowered, even when having a relatively high copolymer content, by specifying the composition and the structure measured by a 13C-nuclear resonance spectrometry, the weight-average mol.wt., and so on. SOLUTION: This propylene/ethylene/α-olefin terpolymer has the following characteristics. The terpolymer contains 0.01 to 15 mol.% of copolymer units having an ethylene unit/4 to 20Cα-olefin unit molar ratio of 6.5×10-4 to 0.99 and 85 to 99.99 mol.% of propylene units containing 2,1- and 1,3-propylene units in an amount of 0 to 1 mol.% in the polymer chain, measured by a 13C-nuclear resonance spectrometry. The terpolymer has a weight-average mol.wt. of 40,000 to 1,000,000 measured by gel permeation chromatography. The terpolymer contains <=10 wt.% of components which are dissolved in o-dichlorobenzene at a temperature of <=40 deg.C, and components which are dissolved in the temperature range of a dissolution peak temperature±10 deg.C are contained in an amount of >=75 wt.% based on the components dissolved at temperatures of >=0 deg.C. |
