PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting device for the submergence of a vehicle that can detect by means of an inexpensive, simple constitution that the vehicle has submerged. SOLUTION: A submergence detecting part 21 is provided on a circuit board or the like on which the electronic circuit of a power window control part is mounted, and the circuit board has an oblong hole part 25 provided to be immersed in water when the vehicle is submerged, and conductive patterns 26, 27 provided oppositely to each other across the hole part 25. The portions of the conductive patterns 26, 27 at their ends in proximity to the hole part 25 serve as conductive pads 26a, 27a where conductive portions are exposed, and when the hole part 25 is immersed water during submergence of the vehicle, the conductive patterns 26, 27 conduct. One of the conductive patterns 26, 27 is connected to a ground wiring pattern and the other of the conductive patterns 26, 27 is connected to a detection signal output circuit which outputs a submergence detection signal when the conductive patterns 26, 27 conduct.
