PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct a wiping work for erasing a written item on a surface of a blackboard even when a moving base on which a wiping member or a wiper member is placed is to be moved in a rightward or leftward direction of the blackboard. SOLUTION: This device for wiping a blackboard comprises a wiper member 240 rotatable around a wiping member 230 rotatably placed on a moving base 201 moving in a lateral direction of the blackboard. The member 240 is rotated in response to the wiping work of a surface 111 of the blackboard while moving the base in a rightward or leftward direction to selectively move the member 240 to right or left side of the member 230.
