PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase change type optical recording medium having a wide overwritable linear velocity range and being excellent in rewriting characteristics and high-density recording. SOLUTION: This optical recording medium has at least a phase change type recording layer provided on a substrate. In this case, the recording layer is composed of Sb, Te and M (M is Ag, In). The sphere of the composition is in a region surrounded by straight lines A, B, C and D in a triangular diagram having vertexes of Sb, Te and M, and Ag <=In. |
