PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject inhibitor having high safety to mammals, capable of being readily formulated with food and drink, useful also as an antidiabetic by making the inhibitor include kasuganobioasmine. SOLUTION: This inhibitor comprises kasuganobioasmine of the formula. This human or animal antidiabetic comprises kasuganobioasmine having α- glucosidase inhibitory activity. In the case of administration as an antidiabetic, the dosage of kasuganobioasmine of 2-80 mg/kg per time for a rat and the dosage of 0.1-5 g per time for human are effective for suppressing rise in blood glucose level.
