PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake amount control type high pressure pump which can reduce vibration and noises and has excellent flow controllability by recovering intake side fluid pressure lowered by closing a flow control valve arranged on an intake side during suction stroke until the next time when the flow control valve is opened. SOLUTION: For the purpose of controlling an amount of flow from this intake amount control type high pressure pump, a flow control valve is closed during pump suction stroke so as to control an intake amount to the high pressure pump. Upstream side pressure Pc of an intake check valve which is evacuated at this time (shown as F) is recovered to feed pressure (shown as H) by opening the flow control valve for a short time Δt and resupplying fluid from a feed pump. At the next time t7 when the flow control valve is opened, inflow fluid may not be led to flow with shock into the upstream side of the intake check valve (I shows a slightly fluctuated state), and vibration and noises can be reduced, and also flow amount controllability of delivery can be improved. |
