PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally forward and backward linearly moving bed for infants which enables users up put the infants to sleep while carrying the infants in their arms or on their back. SOLUTION: This bed consists of a bed body 1 on which the user puts the infant to bed and a bed body supporting base 2 which supports this bed body 1. The bed body 1 is horizontally forward and backward linearly movably held on the bed body supporting base 2. The horizontally forward and backward linearly motion of the bed body 1 is effected by fixing one end of a crank 9 to a revolving shaft 8 of a motor 7 installed in the bed body supporting base 2, freely rotatably and pivotally fitting one end of a connecting rod 10 to the other end of the crank 9 and freely rotatably and pivotally fitting the other end of the connecting rod 10 to the rear surface of the bed body 1.
