PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inexpensive graft copolymer greatly reduced in losses of used raw materials, required times, heat energy, or the like. SOLUTION: This production method of a graft copolymer excellent in impact resistance is specific in continuously carrying out the following three processes (A), (B) and (C) in the same reaction vessel; (A) a process in which 80-100 wt.% of a diene-based monomer is reacted with 20-0 wt.% of a vinyl-based monomer at 60-85 deg.C by using Na and/or K salt of a carboxylic acid until reaching an invert ratio with 0.5-10 wt.% of the residual diene-based monomer and 0.05-0.15μnumber average particle size in the produced diene-based rubbery polymer, (B) a process in which an acidic material is directly added to the latex liquid in a tank in aggregating the diene-based rubbery polymer to expand to 0.2-0.5μnumber average particle size and (C) a process in which 35-150 pts.wt. of a monomer mixture comprising 60-80 wt.% of an aromatic vinyl compound, 20-40 wt.% of a vinyl cyanide and 0-20 wt.% of other copolymerizable vinyl- based monomer per 100 pts.wt. of the sum total of monomers in the process (A) is added to carry out the graft copolymerization.
