PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an accident such as breakage from being caused in a resin pipe and to visually determine the quality of the connecting state by restraining the relative bending deformation of a resin pipe or resin cylinder at the end of a fusion-connecting position when a bending force is applied to the fusion-connected resin pipe or resin cylinder to the degree that it is not broken. SOLUTION: This connecting method comprises fitting a resin cylinder 2 to a resin pipe 1 and fusion connecting the both in an overlapping part (b). A cylindrical sheath part 24 protruded from a fusion connecting position (overlapping part b) and fitted onto the resin pipe 1 is extended from the resin cylinder 2. The sheath part 24 regulates the bending deformation of the resin pipe 1 at the end of the fusion connecting position to the degree that it is not broken. The resin cylinder 2 has an inspection port 25 facing the end of the fusion connecting position, and the excessive resin generated in the fusion connection of the overlapping part (b) is penetrated into the inspection port 25 to form a swollen part 32.
