SPECIFIC ANTIBODY AGAINST DOMOIC ACID AND IMMUNOASSAY OF DOMOIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new monoclonal antibody or its fragment capable of specifically reacting with domoic acid and useful for the easy and quick analysis of domoic acid having high toxicity without necessitating expensive equipment and essentially free from the influence of domoic acid isomer which is supposed to be out of the scope of grave food poisoning factor. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a monoclonal antibody specifically reactive with domoic acid or its fragment. The antibody is preferably secreted by a hybrodoma deposited under FERM P-17441. The antibody can be produced e.g. by immunizing an animal with an immunizing antigen using domoic acid as a hapten, collecting and assaying the blood of the immunized animal to prepare an antibody-producing cell, fusing the cell with a myeloma cell, carrying out selective culture of hybridoma to perform the screening and cell cloning of hybridoma producing the objective antibody and carrying out the mass production of the monoclonal antibody by mass-culture of the hybridoma, etc.
