<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concurrently use an obstacle detecting device also as a collision detecting device. SOLUTION: When an obstacle is situated between the free ends of a pair of front right and left arms 4 while this article conveying vehicle 1 is traveling forward, a signal L is shut off by the obstacle and no longer receive the signal L by a receiver 9, so that the travel device (not shown) of the article conveying vehicle 1 is brought to an emergency stop. When one of the par of front right and left arms 4 collides against something while the article conveying vehicle 1 is traveling forward, the arm 4 is oscillated by this collision against an energizing tool 7 and the direction of a transmitter 8 for receiver 9 is changed, so that the receiver 9 no longer receives the signal L and the travel device (not shown) of the article conveying vehicle 1 is brought to an emergency stop.</p> |
