PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image of high density and high chroma on an image receiving material such as paper with excellent image reproducibility. SOLUTION: This recording medium has a constitution wherein a coloring layer, an intermediate layer and a thermal adhesive layer are laminated in this sequence on a base. In this case, the melting viscosity of the coloring layer is 5.000 cPs/140 deg.C or below. The intermediate layer is constituted mainly of resin and the melting or softening temperature of the intermediate layer is 140 deg.C or above, or the intermediate layer does not melt or soften on the occasion of thermal transfer. The thermal adhesive layer is constituted mainly of resin. |
