PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder composition for ink jet recording, wherein an ink absorbing property in an ink jet printing under a high picture quality mode in which the amount of an ink is increased compared with a conventional method, is favorable, and the water-resistance, the color developing property, and the bleeding property of a printed matter can be greatly improved. SOLUTION: This binder composition is used for the forming of an ink receiving layer of an ink jet recording sheet directly or indirectly having the ink receiving layer at least on one surface of a supporting body, and comprises a cationic polymer, an inorganic filler and a silicone based interfacial active agent. In this case, the cationic polymer is a cationic latex. |
