PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording paper which has a high glossiness, a gloss smoothness which is closer to photographs, and a high printing density, and also, is excellent in the fixing property and the absorbing property of an ink, and in addition, is excellent in water-resistance. SOLUTION: For this recording paper, on one surface of a base paper, an ink receiving layer which is constituted of a urethane resin, an acrylic silicone resin and a water-soluble resin, and contains a polyoxyalkylene glycol derivative and an inorganic halogenated substance, is formed. Then, the 60 deg. relative specular glossiness of the outermost surface by JIS-Z-8741 is set to be 80% or higher, and the 20 deg. relative specular glossiness is set to be 45% or higher. |
