PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure smooth guidance and passage without resistance even when a catheter having a spiral balloon for the purpose of centering at its front end is guided into a blood vessel and is passed through a narrow segment and to prevent the hooking of the catheter at the blood vessel wall even in case of the occurrence of the resistance with the blood vessel wall and to prevent the dislodgment of the spiral balloon in the worst case when passing the lesion part where the constriction is heavy. SOLUTION: The balloon for so-called centering to position part of the catheter 6 to the cross-sectional center of the blood vessel, vessel or other in-vivo vascular tissues or the cross-sectional center in the intravascular narrow segment is spirally joined to the distal part of the catheter 6. This is so executed that the bore of the spiral balloon after the joining manipulation is about 1/2 to 4/5 of the bore of the spiral balloon before the joining manipulation. |
