[Class 20 (iii)] Sliding or folding- sliding doors of vehicles are held against rattling in the closed position by arms 11 having ends engaging bowed springs 6 attached to the underface of the platform or floor by brackets 4. The arms 11 are secured by screwed ends and lock-nuts in plates 9 bolted to the door faces near the lower end of the forward or meeting edges, and are curved to engage with a sliding movement the bowed ends of the springs. The springs may be bowed or helical or preferably compound leaf springs as shown. |
