PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure an excellent image repeatedly by removing a residual material on an intermediate transfer body completely, irrespective of the state of the material, on the occasion of removing the material from the intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: This method comprises a process wherein a material 11 which can be dissolved in or swollen with a liquid and can increase the viscosity of the liquid is formed beforehand on a intermediate transfer body 21, a process wherein the liquid is brought into contact with the material thereafter and an image is formed on the intermediate transfer body, a process wherein the image is then transferred onto a recording body and a process wherein the material remaining on the intermediate transfer body after the transferring process is removed entirely by sticking. |
